History of Tsechu Festival
This festival is celebrated in the Rewalsar region in the Mandi district. Initially this festival was celebrated in the end of the 19th century by the Tibetans peoples. Most of Tibetans peoples came to the India in the 1970s. Firstly they came to the Maclorganj area and after they shifted to other areas.


In the Rewalsar there are so many Tibetans and Buddhist monk's lives, so every year in the month of March they celebrate festivals with great enthusiasm and happiness. This festival will continue for the next three days in which so many performance have perform by the Tibetans peoples which show their tradition and cultural and also other cultural events will be takes place in the festivals. During this festival Rewalsar market is crowed with shopkeepers and peoples.


This festival is celebrated in the memory of Buddhist Guru Padamsambhav, which is one of the famous Guru who believed in the non-violence and Truth.


This year this festival was started from the 10th March and in the opening ceremony the main chief guest of the ceremony was the Deputy Commissioner of Mandi district have inaugurated the festival and addresses the peoples.


Nearby places for wondering
This festival was celebrated in the Rewalsar region of the Mandi district. In this place there are so many temples are present with one of the famous lake of the state known as Rewalsar Lake, which is one of the beautiful natural lake of the state. Apart from it there are so many nearby places for the wondering like, Manali, Kullu, Manikaran, Sundernagar and Mandi which is about 100 to 150 km from this place and you can easily reach these places by buses or taxi.

This festival is celebrated in the Rewalsar region in the Mandi district which is connected with other parts of the state by road. You can easily reach this place by bus as well as taxi. This place is about 100 km from the Mandi. When you visit this place in the month of March then always wear warm clothes.
