Holy Mani Mahesh Journey 2014 starts from Chamba in July month


Himachal Pradesh is land of God, there are so many temples are presents where so many local deities are worship by the peoples. When you visit this state then you will see that each and every district will celebrates its unique festivals and worship different Gods. When you will visits the Chamba, Kinnaur then you will see lots of temples of Lord Shiva's and when you visit the Shimla, Kangra and Una then you will different temples of Mata like Chamunda Mata, Jawaliji Mata and Chintpurni Mata etc. Here in this article we are talking about one of the oldest and holy journey of the state which will starts from the Chamba and ends at the Lord Shiva's home place Dal Lake, Mani Mahesh.

Mani Mahesh Journey every year starts in the month of July and which will continue still the mid of the September. This journey starts from the Chamba and end at the Dal Lake which is the birth place of the Lord Shiva's. Every year, so many peoples visited this place from the outside the state as well as foreign peoples. Initially this journey was started in the 15th century after that it was celebrated every year in the month of July and which will continues for the next two month. It was started from the Chamba and after that it peoples goes to the Bharmaur where a temple was situated which is known as Churashi Temple. People worship the local God for the week and after that this journey again starts for the destination and during the journey so many places falls like Danchuaha, Gauri Kund after that Journey will ends at The Mani Mahesh.
In this place there is small lake which is always covered with snow and the temperature of this lake always below the 0 degree Celsius. On the last day of the journey peoples worship the Gods and bath in this lake for few seconds and after that they will come back to the Chamba.
How to Visit
This journey starts from the Chamba, so if you want to enjoy this holy journey than you have to visit the Chamba district in the month of between July and September. You can easily reach this place bus as well as taxi there is so many buses are available from the other laces state as well outside the state. This place is about 325 km from the Chandigarh and about 600km from the Delhi. So, once you reach the bus stand than you have to take bus for Bharmaur which is about 80 km from the Chamba. After that you have to take bus for the Hadsar which is the last place where you can take vehicle after that no transport facility is available except horse riding. You have to walk about 13km from this place after that you will reach the Dal Lake. During the way there so many free foods will be provided by the peoples.
