Nandi Hills is located 4851 ft. (1478 meters) above sea level. During the major part of the year, Nandi Hills has a lovely pleasant climate. Even during the summer months, the temperature does not generally go over 30 degrees. The best views at Nandi Hills are before 7a.m. and at sunset. If you reach as soon as Nandi Hills is open, at the peak you literally feel as though you are touching the clouds because sometimes there is a lovely early morning mist. At sunset, too, you can get some really good views. 10a.m. onwards, the crowds start to come in, some of them being quite rowdy, so better to reach as early in the morning as possible.
Note: If you are visiting early morning, take along a light sweater as there is a nip in the air at those early hours. During winter it can get quite cold too, especially at night.
