Ingredients for making Tamil recipe Chutney Podi with dals

Red gram dal - 2 tbsp
Bengal gram dal - 2 tbsp
green gram dal - 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Small piece of asafoetida
Red chillies - 4
Gingely oil - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 2 sprigs
Salt to taste

Method for making Tamil recipe Chutney Podi with dals

1. Dry roast the dals to a golden brown color.

2. Fry cumin seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida and chillies.

3. Mix all the ingredients, add salt and powder in a mixie.

4. Store in an airtight container.

Serve with rice and a dash of gingely oil or ghee.
