Ingredients required for Tamil Recipe Semia Oothappam

Vermicelli : 1/2 cup
Dosa batter : 1 cup
Tomato : 2
Coriander leaves : a handful
Mint leaves : a handful
Chilli powder : 2 tsp
Cumin powder : 1 tsp
Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil as needed

Preparation method of Tamil Recipe Semia Oothappam

1. Boil vermicelli in 3 cups of water till it is fully cooked. Drain excess water.

2. Cut the tomatoes, coriander leaves, mint leaves and add to the cooked vermicilli.

3. To this add the powders and salt. Mix well and add this to the dosa batter.

4. Spread this batter in a heated pan. It should be thick.

5. Pour oil around the oothappam and cook in a medium flame.

This can be served with chutney and sambhar.
