How to make Tamil Recipe Coconut Dosai


In this article I have given you a recipe for making a simple form of dosai called Coconut Dosai.

Coconut Dosai is a easy to make dosai variety.

Ingredients for making Tamil Recipe Coconut Dosai

Parboiled rice - 2 cup
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Salt - 2 teaspoon
Oil - 4 to 5 teaspoon

Preparation of Tamil Recipe Coconut Dosai


1. Soak the parboiled rice in water for about 8 hours.

2. After 8 hours drain the excess water and grind this soft paste in a grinder.

3. Add grated coconut and salt when the rice is fully ground and grind for about 5 minutes.

4. Add enough water so that you get a thin batter.

5. Heat the non-stick tava and grease with oil. Take a big laddle of this thin batter and pour it like a circle and finish on the middle.Pour oil on and around the dosa. Turn it over and cook the other side also.

Coconut dosai is now ready to be served with any chutney or podi.
