Ingredients for making Tamil Recipe Pesarattu


2 cups greengram dal
1 cup raw rice
4 green chillies
2 sprigs of curry leaves
A pinch of asafoetida
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
1 large sized onion
1/2 cup grated coconut
A sprig of curry leaves
Small piece of ginger

Method for making Tamil Recipe Pesarattu


1. Soak dal and rice in water for 2 hours.

2. Strain the water and grind the dal and rice along with green chillies, asafoetida and salt.

3. Add finely chopped onions, coconut, curry leaves, ginger to the batter.

4. Grease the dosa tawa and prepare the pesarattu just as you do dosas pouring oil around. Cook till it becomes golden brown.

Serve hot with any chutney and sambar.
