About Actor Surya Sivakumar Agaram Foundation
'Agaram' in tamil means the start of everything. This also indicates the first letter in Tamil Language. This Foundation is a successor of the programme which was started by Mr.SivaKumar,renowned actor in the Tamil Cinema in the name Sivakumar Educational Trust in 1979 for the uplift of poor students in Education which too is running successfully. Now Agaram Foundation is founded by his Son Surya,he too is an actor of Tamil Cinema and rocking the theatres. This is a leading Service Organisation in Chennai and has many centres across Tamil Nadu.

This great service foundation was started to help the aspiring students who are unable to continue their education due to the lack of resources. Their main aim is to make the children to reach their space of Education in the Society. This foundation strongly believes that when the Education is imparted to the children, it can make wonders among the surrounding world with its flying colours. This foundation also has a firm belief that the Educated minds will help to eradicate the Ups and Downs prevailing in the Society. Their utmost aim is to provide quality Education to the rural places where the children were unable to get the that one.

Here the missionary activities carried out by Agaram foundation are briefly listed.
• To uplift the Schools where facilities are not upto the mark and action will surely bring a drastic change.
• To bring great awareness among the people
about the importance of Education.
• To make students in rural areas to be available with Out off Centres like Tuition Centres for enhancing their knowledge to a great depth.Services undertaken by Tamil actor Surya Agaram Foundation
• A programme called Vidhai in Agaram Foundation is going on to help the deserving students to pursue quality education. This is an excellent oppurtunity for the poor but capable students.
• There are many initiative programmes like Vazhikaatigal to train the volunteers for guiding and organising the programme in various regions of Tamil Nadu.
• Learning Centre in Agaram Foundation is a leading programme of this trust. It trains a set of 40-50 students in each centre in the classes studying between 5th-8th standard for about 2 1/2 hours daily and in which 1 1/2 hour is spent is educating them the soft skills and insists personality development for each child. This is supervised by a well trained Tutor.
