PSG college is one of the oldest college in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. The college was established in 1951. It is under the management of PSG Charity Trust which was started on 25th January, 1926. Since from then, the college crossed many milestones and gained lot of fame in the field of technology and engineering. Now the college upholded its apex status by maintaining the high standards of academic and other facilities like good library, sports departments, science departments and many more. Large nunmber of students from all corners of India wish to join the PSG (P S Govindaswamy Naidu, the founder of this college) college of technology as their first preference and now it is treated almost equal to all NIT's and IIT's of India. The college received ISO: 9001 a prestigious award in 2001 which shows its strong academic and other unmatchable infrastructure. The came into existence when G R Damodaran who was appointed as a principal of this college. With his sharp mind in the field of best administration and other skills he transformed this college into a famous and popular engineering colleges of Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. The college was offered the accreditation from All India Council for Technology Education (AICTE). PSG College of Technology is affiliated to Anna University and granted the status of Autonomous Status by which it can frame its own syllabus as per their requirement and can dealt with all evaluation procedures.The management of the college signed many Memorandum of Understanding with many research organization in India and abroad too to enable their researcher to carry out their research work with the support of such companies.
