Second day of Pongal
Second day of Pongal is also known as Surya Pongal and is dedicated to Lord Surya. This is the day when special rice dish known as Pongal is prepared in almost every house in Tamilnadu. Pongal is a sweet rice dish which is cooked with cow's milk.

Third day of Pongal
Third day of Pongal is dedicated to all the cattle's. People use to worship Goddess Parvati and her son on this day. People use to bath their cattle's on this day and it is one of the most joyful day in Pongal festival. Various cattle races are also organized on this day. At some places Bull-Fighting is also held on this day which is locally known as JALLIKATTU.

Fourth day of Pongal
Fourth day of Pongal is also known as Kannum Pongal and is the day when people use to relax with their families.
