UGC NET Exam June 2012 – Objective Type for Paper III


Now the Post Graduate Teachers can breathe easy as the norms of the UGC (University Grand Commission). Yes! The third paper which was a written examination is now changed to objective type and negative marking system Cancelled in UGC Net Exam. UGC Net Exam 3 Paper – Objective Type


The UGC officials have recently released an notification that the post graduate students who are appearing for the National Eligibility Test (NET) 2012 will meet their all three part question papers with the objective type questions. The third paper which was as a written exam previously has been changed to objective type question. The UGC official added saying that the new method has been introduced to quicken the correction process of the answer sheets and release the exam result on time without any delay. He also said that now the students can take a copy (Carbon copy) of their answer paper and self evaluate them. This would make the students to evaluate their performance immediately after appearing in the Exam.

What is UGC Net Exam


The UGC (University Grand Commission conducts examinations to select the teachers for the colleges and universities. The candidates who are qualifying the Net exam are qualified to work in any of the college or Universities in India. The UGC net exam is conducted tow times a year (June, December). Also only those who clear the NET Exam are eligible for junior research fellowship and earn the stipend amount. The stipend amount would be nearly Rs. 18000 per month.

UGC Net Exam: Question Pattern


The UGC net exam will be including a total of three papers. The each paper will have different type of questions. They are:

First Paper in UGC net Exam
The First Paper in UGC Net Exam will include 60 objective type questions. The candidates should answer a total of 50 questions. Each question is awarded with 2 marks and hence for 50 questions will make the sum of 100 marks. Yes! The first paper is conducted for 100 marks. The questions for the First paper will be from General Knowledge, Teacher & Education and reasoning.

Second Paper in UGC net Exam
The Second Paper will be asked for hundred marks. The questions will be asked from the major subject / main subject of the candidates. The questions will be asked in objective type.

The Third Paper in UGC net Exam
The Third paper will be conducted for 200 marks. This was previously asked as subjective questions. Now with the new regulations the third paper will be asked in the objective type questions. The third paper will include objective type questions which will carry two marks each for the total of 200 marks. So now the candidates can write all the three papers in UGC Net Exam in objective type questions.

How Many Marks Need to qualify NET Exam


The Net Exam is conducted through three papers. The candidates should acquire a minimum of marks in each paper for clearing the Net Exam. The General Category students have to secure a minimum of 40 % of marks in the first tow papers. In the third paper they need to score a minimum of 50% of marks.

For all other candidates who fall under OBC, ST, SC and Physically Challenged are needed to score a minimum of 35 % marks in the first tow papers. In the third paper the OBC candidates need to score 45% of marks and for the all others like ST, SC and Physically Challenged needed to acquire a minimum of 40% of marks in the third paper.

Qualification for UGC Net Exam


The post graduate holders with a minimum of 60% of marks obtained in the post graduate. For the other OBC, ST, SC and Physically Challenged have the reduction of percentage for appearing in the examination.

What is Objective Type Question In UGC Net Exam?


The objective type questions means the question will have four choice answers. The candidates have to choose the correct answer and tick in the correct answer. The candidates need not write anything in the exam. The students just need to tick in the exam paper.

The UGC new format will be applicable for the June 2012 exam and results will be announced by October before the next exam in December 2012.

The new regulation of writing the third paper in objective type question will be from June 2012. The notification for the Net Exam in June will be issued very soon. The post graduate can start preparing for the test from now. Start your training and you will surely win the race.

As you told that in UGC NET exam both 2 and 3 paper will be in objective mode..and syllabus is also same for both the papers...

the what would be the difference in 2nd and 3rd paper???

please explain? coz initially paper 3 was subjective.

I have one quire regarding the No negative marks for all the three papers or its applicable for only third paper
kindly inform me and whats the pattern of negative marks scheme

sir as per answer key,i scored 76% in paper-1,70% in paper-2 and 57.3%in paper-3 of UGC NET JUNE-2012 exam.Will i get lecturership?
