Tamil Nadu 12th Standard Examiner Duties 2012, Instructions, Conducting Procedure and Key Statistics

Key Statistics about 12th Exam - 2012


The 12th Exam has started on 8/3/12 a total of 7,60,975 students both boys and girls from 5,557 schools are being appearing for the respective exams. The respective exams have been scheduled from 8th March 2012 till 30th March 2012. According to the key statistics received addition of 37,430 students in number this year are being involved in the respective exam comparatively to last year. A total of 3,53,006 Boys and 4,07,969 Girls are being appearing for the exam through several schools from different corners of Tamil Nadu. According to above key statistics of students this time a total of 54,963 girls are appearing more in number comparatively to boys. More over from previous year key statistics a total of 16,563 Boys are appearing for the respective exam this year which is comparatively more in number than last year key statistics and similarly 20,867 girls are appearing for the respective exam this year comparatively more in number than last year.

A total of 1,974 Examination Centre has been made ready to conduct the respective exam for the people of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. According to the data a total of 50,201 students from 412 schools in Chennai region are being appearing for the exam. More over a total of 139 examination centre lies in Chennai. In addition to the above a total of 61,319 candidates are appearing for the exams through private. This time special extra timings one hour have been allocated for the physically challenged person like blind people who employ scriber in writing their exams. A total of 4000 Flying Squad have been put on duty to watch the process of the respective exams.

Instruction and Conducting Procedure of 12th Exam in Tamil Nadu - 2012


The Exam Commission office have defined the rules and activities to be carried out by the Chief Examiner and Exam Hall Supervisor as listed below.
9.15 am – The Chief Examiner will instruct each Exam Supervisor about their duty hall for the day
9.30 am – The Exam Supervisor will be provided with respective items for recording the registration of students appearing exam. The exam must check all the students and then let them inside. The examiner should also check no unnecessary papers and items are being left inside respective hall.
9.40 am – The students after checking will be allowed to enter inside the exam hall.
9.55 am – The Chief Examiner will visit each hall and handle over the respective question paper to hall supervisor.
10 am – The question paper will be issued to students and the examiner in loud voice should instruct the student that a total of 10 minutes are being given for reading question paper.
10.10 am – Later additional 10 minutes will be given to record the register number, subject, and name in the answer sheet.
10.15 am – A bell will go off towards the start up of the exam and of grace timing to enter into the respective hall and the exam hall door must be closed by no locking allowed.
Later in a half an hour sequence at (10.45/11.15/11.45/12.15/12.45) a bell goes off in indicating the respective timing
1.10 pm – The Examiner should insist the student about the last 10 minutes available for the exam
1.15 pm – Continuous bell ringing goes off to indicate the end of the respective exam.
