Sooner India is going to launch its first heaviest microwave satellite and the most exciting thing is that all of this is directed by a women named N.Valarmathi from Chennai, Tamilnadu. This is going to happen after 'Tessy Thomas', popular as "Missile Woman", who was nearly concerned with India's Agni-V intercontinental ballistic missile. Now N. Valarmathi is going to launch the satellite named as Radar Imaging Satellite (Risat-1) and is accountable for its working. Radar Imaging Satellite (Risat-1) is going to be India's first heaviest microwave satellite. N.Valarmathi is directing this project in Indian space agency's Satellite Centre situated in Bangalore.

As per the statement of an official of Indian space agency's Satellite Centre: N.Valarmathi is answerable for Radar Imaging Satellite (Risat-1) along with its functioning and delivery. On 3rd April, Radar Imaging Satellite (Risat-1) will be launched by, ISRO's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle into space. This launch is going to be happen from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota situated in Andhra Pradesh.

Radar Imaging Satellite (Risat-1) is going to be used for disaster forecast cultivation forestry and would be used for the purpose of protection. Lifespan of Risat-1 is about 5 years and its weight is about 1,858kg approximately.
