Bengali Fish Curry Recipe
Fish Curry is a very hot item in Bengali kitchen.
This Bengali fish curry recipe is very easy to prepare.
Ingredients for Preparation of Bengali style Fish Curry:
6 medium sized fish pieces
1 tablespoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon mustard paste
2 tablespoon mustard oil
1-2 green chillies slit
Salt to taste
Finely chopped coriander leaves (to garnish)
Method of Preparation:
Wash the fish pieces properly
Apply a pinch of salt and turmeric powder to the fishes and keep aside for 30 mins
Now lightly fry the fishes and keep aside.
Now in a frying pan, heat 2 tablespoon of mustard oil.
Mix 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder with little water and make a paste and add this paste to the heated oil in the frying pan.
Now add the fried fishes, mustard paste and little salt to it.
Mix it very gentle and cook on a low flame for few mins or until the fish gets cooked.
Add 1-2 green chillies slits on top and simmer for 2-3 mins
Remove from gas and garnish with coriander leaves
Serve hot with rice.
