By Road
Bakkhali is nearly 132km from Kolkata. WBSTC and CSTC buses ply daily from Esplanade, Kolkata to Namkhana. Then take a ferry to cross the river Hatania Doania and then again take bus to reach Bakkhali.

By Rail
The nearest rail station is at Namkhana. Trains are easily available from Sealdah to reach Namkhana Station. From Namkhana cross river Hatnia Doania by ferry and then take a bus to reach Bakkhali. From Namkhana station you can also get a van rickshaw to reach the place from where you need to cross a narrow creek in a small boat.

Visit the Frasergunj Beach on the way to Henry's Island. It is just 2km away from Bakkhali. You can also see the Frasergunj Fishing Harbour.

It is another beautiful place. It is a small uninhabited and forested island. The blue sky and the blue seawater have embraced each other at Jambu Dwip and this loneliness is only punctuated by the fishermen drying out their nets. Crocodile Breeding Center
