Recipe for Healthy fruit juices: Guava Ginger and Kachi Kairi


Are you on diet or want to beat the summer heat? Want to know how to prepare heathy fruit juices? Ever wondered how to make guava ginger juice or how to make kachi kairi juice? Here, I have listed the recipe for guava juice and recipe for kachi kairi juice. Both of them are healthy juices and best summer thirst quenchers. Both recipes are homemade fruit juice recipes for fruits like guava and raw mango (kachi kairi). The recipe for raw mango juice should help parents whose kids love mangoes.

Required ingredients for Guava Ginger Juice


4 guavas

4 tbsp sugar

2tbsp lemon juice

2tbsp ginger juice

1tsp black salt (kala namak)

1tsp black pepper powder

Salt

Mint leaves (For garnishing)

Procedure to prepare Guava Ginger juice


  • Wash the guavas and cut into large pieces.
  • Put the pieces in the mixer, sugar and make smooth puree.
  • Sieve the puree.(make sure you remove all the seeds)
  • Add the lemon juice, ginger juice, black salt, salt and black pepper powder to the puree.
  • Now take the pulp in a bowl and add water to it. Blend it with blender.
  • Pour the juice in glass/es for drinking.
  • Garnish the juice with mint leaves.
  • You can keep the juice for cooling or perhaps add some ice cubes and serve it chilled.

  • Guavas are rich in fibre, vitamin A and C and other minerals.

  • Guava is a low calorie fruit and it contains the four times of vitamin C as compared to an orange.
  • Guava and Ginger juice pulp can be filled in a bottle and stored in refrigerator to be consumed over a long period of time.
  • Half glass of this juice every morning before breakfast will help cleanse your digestive system.
  • Avoid having this juice during lunch or dinner as generally the taste of ginger/guava may dominate everything and you may not actually enjoy the taste of food that you are eating.


Required ingredients for Kachi Kairi Juice


5 raw mangoes

9 tbsp sugar( depending on taste)

1 tsp elaichi powder

1tbsp black salt powder (kaala namak)

Mint leaves (for garnishing)

Procedure to prepare Kachi Kairi juice


  • Boil all mangoes till you can peel the skin of it. Let it cool for some time.
  • Once it is cooled, remove the skin and remove the pulp from it.
  • In a mixer, mix pulp, elaichi powder and black salt powder to smooth puree.
  • Add 6-7 cups of water and mix it properly.
  • Pour it in glass and garnish it with mint leaves.
  • Serve with ice cubes(Optional).
  • You can even prepare "ice gola / ice slush" with this juice at home. Take some big ice cubes and crush them into several small pieces. Then, fill them in one glass and slowly pour the Kachi Kairi juice over them. Sprinkle some small pieces of dry fruits. You can then relish having this "ice gola" or "ice slush" using a spoon / straw at home.
  • You can even try mixing some oranges with Kachi Kairi (at the start) to make it a Kachi Kairi with Orange juice and it will taste equally good.
