Does a victory for Congress translate to a possible future change in the Central Govt?

By now you will all be aware of the thumping win of the Congress Party in the 16th Karnataka Assembly Elections. They bagged a whopping 135 seats and also, as per media reports, got a 43% vote share. The ruling BJP got just 65 seats, while the Janata Dal (Secular) fell drastically to 19 from its existing 32.

The Congress and other Opposition leaders claim that this would indicate that the Central Govt. of the BJP would also fall in the next Lok Sabha elections. Really? Can victory in the Assembly polls of a couple of States translate to a change in the Central Govt. leadership?

Let's have a discussion on the victory, the reasons for it, what the new Karnataka CM and his Ministers need to do to retain the faith the voters have shown in them, the possible outcome, if any, of the next Lok Sabha elections based on this win, etc.

It is difficult to predict the election results of the 2024 elections and it is also very difficult to predict that based on the result of a particular state which is in this case Karnataka. There are so many factors in the election that prediction becomes more and more difficult. As per the situation prevailing today in our country, there are good chances that BJP will continue to be in power.

I don' think so. Karnataka is not a very strong base for BJP. As per the analysis of the results around 40 seats won by Congress just by a lead of 1000 votes and another 50 seats with 2000 votes margin. Mainly the votes of employees went against BJP. This verdict is against the state government.
Even in Karnataka in Parliament elections, BJP may win more seats. North is a very strong base for BJP. South is always against BJP only. As per the various surveys conduct by different agencies, the chances for BJP to win in low Sabha elections are very high.
