Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC) in Ludhiana was established in 1956 by Nankana Sahib Education Trust. The college is a Punjab Government aided institute and is affiliated to Punjab Technical University Jalandhar. The college is named after Guru Nanak Dev Ji the first Sikh Guru. Every year, 70% of the students who enroll with GNDEC Ludhiana are from rural areas of the country.
