Jwala Gutta, the best women's doubles badminton player of India, was born to Telugu Indian father named Kranti Gutta and a Chinese mother named Yelan Gutta. Even she was born in Wardha, she was bought up in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh state, India. After dating fellow badminton player Chetan Anand in the year 2003, Jwala Gutta married him on July 2005 and later got divorced by June 2011. For those who do not know more about Chetan Anand, remember that he has been honored with an Arjuna Award and was the 1999 Junior National Badminton Champion and 2003, 2007, 2008, and 2010 Senior National Badminton Champion respectively.

When asked about her marital bliss, she informed after marriage in a few years they realized that they were not made for each other. Jwala Gutta is an extrovert and bold person. Due to her outspoken nature, she always had conflicts with the Badminton Association of India. Her name was also linked with cricketer Muhammad Azharuddin. But Jwala denied also those gossips. When speaking about her badminton carrier, it should be noted that she had won the National Badminton Championships 13 times. Jwala Gutta badminton career


Jwala Gutta started her badminton training at a young age itself. She won the first title at the Mini National Badminton Championship held at Thrissur in Kerala state, India. In the year 2000, Jwala won the Junior National Badminton Championship and both Women's Doubles Junior National Championship and Senior National Badminton Championships respectively. From 2002-2008, Jwala along with Shruti Kurien won the Women's Doubles National title. Later Jwala with Pullela Gopichand won the Mixed Doubles national badminton Championship. In the year 2007 and 2008, Jwala partnered with V. Diju won the Mixed Doubles national title. In the world championships that held in the year 2011, Jwala was the first women doubles pair to win a bronze medal. Now we hope Jwala Gutta will be able to win a medal in the 2012 Summer Olympics.
