1.Nakki Lake


Nakki Lake is one of the major tourist attractions of Mount Abu. It is the only artificial lake in India which is situated at a height of 1200 meters from the sea level. It is believed that the lake was dug nails of gods to protect themselves from the wicked demons. The lake got its name from there only. One can also visit Gandhi Ghat which is constructed in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi. His ashes were immersed in Nakki Lake on 12 February 1948. The lake is surrounded by beautiful mountains which gives a feeling of calm and peace to the visitor. One can enjoy boating in the lake as well as choose to climb the mountains across the lake.

2. Sunset point


Sunset point is other major tourist attraction in Mount Abu which let the visitors enjoy the sunset in cool and calm way. The sunset point lies in the south west of the Nakki Lake. Achalgarh is a small village situated near Mount Abu and situated at a distance of 11 kilometers from Mount Abu. Achalgarh fort was built by kings of Parmara dynasty and was reconstructed by the king of Mewar, Rana kumbha in 1452. The fort is famous for its historic and religious significance. There is also a temple in the fort called Achleshwar Mahadev temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It has a religious significance as footprint of one of the Hindu god in there on a rock at the temple. There are also few Jain temples in the fort. 4. Mount Abu wildlife Sanctuary


Mount Abu sanctuary is spread over an area of 7 kilometers. It houses over 250 species of birds. It also houses animals' like leopard sloth bear, wild boar, Sambar, Chinkara and languor. Many of the animals are extremely rare and are on the verge of extinction. The sanctuary is situated in the Aravali ranges which are one of the oldest mountain range.

5. Adhar Devi temple

Adhar devi temple is situated on the peak of a mountain and dedicated to Goddess Durga. It is located inside a cave. 8. Rishikesh Temple


Rishikesh temple is one the oldest spiritual place in Mount Abu.The temple was built around 7000 years ago by King Amrish. This temple has a spiritual history. It is believed that when the king performed 100 Ashwamegha Yagya , the lord Indra got angry and attacked the king. It is believed that Lord Rishikesh saved the king from the attack. After which the king established Rishikesh temple.

9. Shri Ragunathji Temple


This temple was built in 14th century by Shri Ramanand. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is beautifully carved with inscriptions and is a famous architectural building of Rajasthan's culture. There is a magnificent statue of Raghunathji in the temple. It is a famous pilgrim for the followers of lord Vishnu. The temple is situated on the shores of Nakki Lake hence is a famous tourist place as well.

10. Bhrama Kumari spiritual University


The Bhrama Kumari spiritual University is only university of its type which gives knowledge about peace and brotherhood to the people. The university is famous for its socio-spiritual education and includes courses like meditation and yoga. The main aim of the university is to teach spirituality to its students.
