The age of Yash Chopra is 80 who celebrated his birthday on September 27 was born to a Punjabi family in Lahore in the year 1932. Yash Chopra was the youngest of the eight children was brought up in Lahore Yash Chopra Hindi Film Directorat his second brother 'Mahabharat' fame B.R. Chopra's house. Yash Chopra at his younger age wanted to purse a career in Engineering but his passion for filmmaking made him to move to Mumbai to forge a career in film, where he worked initially with I.S.Johar as an assistant director. Later he joined with his brother B.R.Chopra as an assistant director.

Film career of Yash Chopra reveals that, 'Dhool Ka Phool' is the first film directed by Yashji in the year 1959. He then made several movies with his brother and he came to fame in 1965 with a multi-star family drama 'Waqt' which fetched him first filmfare award. He launched India's biggest production company Yash Raj Films in the year 1973 where he came up with his first independent produced box office hit film 'Daag'. Then he gave several notable hits like 'Deewar', 'Trishul', 'Kabhi Kabhie', 'Silsila' and so on.
