Architecture of Akshardham Temple, Delhi


The temple shows the old Indian Vaastu Shastra and Architecture. It is 141 feet high, 316 feet wide and 370 feet long which is sufficient enough to astonish the visitors. Moreover it has 234 ornate pillars and over 20,000 sculptures. The construction is mainly done with pink sandstone and white marble. The monument stands on 148 huge elephants with 11-feet tall panchdhatu statue of Swaminarayan also supporting the structure.

Attractions of Akshardham Temple, Delhi


There are an umber of attractions present in the Akshardham Temple, Delhi . There are three halls present in the temple "Sahajanand Darshan", "Neelkanth Darsdhan" and "Sanskruti Vihar". In "Sahajanand Darshan" the whole life of Swaminarayan is depicted through robotic shows. In "Neelkanth Darsdhan" you can enjy movie based on the life of Swaminarayan. At Sanskruti vihar you can enjoy 12-minute boat ride which shows you a glimpse of the rich Indi9an Heritage.

Entry Fees in The Akshardham Temple, Delhi


The entry fees to Akshardham Temple is completely free . However there are charges for exhibition halls and theatres . The charges for the halls are , Rs.125 for adult and 75 for children. Visiting the whole temple reuires a lot of time. However there are volunteers and guides available for free to assist you and to tell you about the various palces and things present in the Temple. Moreover for the security purposes close circuit cameras are also present and even a number of security guards to carry your mobile inside the temple. Thus you should deposit the mobiles outside by filling a form.

Library and Store in Akshardham Temple, Delhi


Just behind the Akshardham temple you will also find a large store where you can purchase a number of things related to Akshardham like T-shirts, CDs , herbs etc. Moreover you can also purchase books from here related to the place and its deities.

Musical fountains at Akshardhaam temple, Delhi


Another main attractions of Akshardham temple are the musical fountains. One can witness these beautiful fountains just by paying a nominal fees of Rs 20. The time for the start of the fountains is 7.30 pm in the summers and at 6.30 pm in the winters. This is late as the charm of fountains is enhanced after sunset. The fountains are displayed in a open hall with a sitting capacity of 100 people. The fountain represents three phase of life birth, adulthood and finally death.
