Board of secondary education Assam has declared the date for the Assam HSLC examinations 2012.

Timings- 8:50 AM to 12:00 PM
Duration- 3 hours (two hours for * marked subjects(In lieu Languages))

Special features of HSLC 2012

Ten minutes extra time will be added for reading the question paper. Hence the examination will start from 8:50 AM. From 8:50 to 9:00 AM time will be provided for reading the question paper only.

Major Indian languages(MIL) will include Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo, Manipuri, Nepali, Khasi, Garo, Mizo, Hmar and Urdu languages.

The question paper will contain only new course. Reappearing candidates who appeared in 2006-2007 will have to appear in the HSLC/AHM examination 2012 as 'Private candidate under old course'.

Practical examination for the Fine Arts subject will be conducted in the same examination hall where other exams were held. No separate venue will be provided for Practical Fine Arts examination.

Fine Arts practical will compose of 60 marks.

With effect from the coming HSLC exams i.e. Assam HSLC 2012 exams, the internal assessment marks for the subjects- English and General Mathematics have been increased from 10 to 20.
