Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Karbi Anglong district of the state of Assam. It is one of the oldest sanctuaries of Assam. It covers an area of just 6.05 square kilometers. This wildlife sanctuary is famous for its hot springs and waterfalls. Because of these hot water springs the place is known as Garampani which means 'hot water'. The sanctuary is also famous for its rich bio-diversity. It is a home to hoolock gibbons and golden langurs. The sanctuary is full of rare and endangered flora and fauna.

This wildlife sanctuary is a home to a wide variety of wild animals & birds. The mammals of the sanctuary includes the Leopard, Clouded Leopard, Tiger, Leopard Cat, Jungle Cat, Barking Deer, Sambar, Asian Elephant, Gaur, Hoolock Gibbon, Capped Langur, Slow Loris, Pig Tailed Macawue, Rhesus Macaque, Chinese Pangolin, Civet, Indian Fox, Mongoose etc. The very common reptiles are Python, Cobra, Monitor lizards and a variety of amphibians.
The commonly found bird species in the sanctuary are Red Jungle Fowl, Kaleej Pheasant, different species of Hornbill, Green Pigeon, Green Imperial Pigeon, Racket tailed Drongo, Myna, Jungle Myna, Hill Myna, Blackhooded Oriole, Parakeet, Dove, Drongo, Bulbul, Minivet, Eagle, Kingfisher, Woodpecker, Barbet, Owl, Brown Fish Owl etc.

Another airport is Jorhat Airport which is 85 kms away from the Sanctuary. The sanctuary is connected by road through the National Highway 39. From Guwahati it takes 6 to7 hours journey to the sanctuary. The Furkuting rail Junction is just 20 kms away is the nearest rail head to the sanctuary. This junction is well connected with all parts of India.
