HARIDWAR


Haridwar is the famous by the name "the gateway to gods". Accordindg to hindus, Haridwar is considered to be one of the seven holiest places. They stand in sacred water there praying for the salvation of their ancestors. It is situated in the haridwar district of uttarakhand. It is an important pilgrimage city. It is the largest city of uttarakhand. People call it by various other names like mayapuri, kapila and gangadwar.

BALESHWAR


The baleshwar temple is at a certain distance from the in the champawat town of of uttarakhand. The reason behind the popularity of baleshwar temple lies in its history. These are believed to be built by the kings of the chand dynasty. These temples contain the idols of tobaleshwar, ratneshwar and champawati durga.

NEELKANTH TEMPLE


Neelkanth temple is situated in the pauri garhwal district of uttarakhand. This temple is dedicated to LORD SHIVA. The beauty of this temples is mainly in its location in dense forests and its adjacency to the mountain ranges of nar-narayan.according to the hindu mythology this is the sacred place where LORD SHIVA consumed the poison halahala that originated from the sea. The name of this temple is kept after the lord shiva. The lord shiva is also known as neelkanth, meaning one having blue throat.

BAIJNATH TEMPLES


Baijnath temple is located in the bageshwar district of uttarakhand. This temple hold special significance because it is believed that lord shiva and parvati were married at that place. This temple is actually built by the katyuri kings many years ago. It consist of the idols of idols of lord Shiva,lord ganesh, goddess parvati, chandika, kuber, lord bramha

GARJIA DEVI TEMPLE


Garjia devi temple is the main beauty of the lands of uttarakhand. It is specially dedicated to goddess parvati. This small temple is situated at a short distance from ramnagar. The speciality of this temple is that it is famous for its faith and is built beautifully over a beautiful hill . Mostly people visit this place on the occasion of vasant panchami .The temple contains many idols of goddess parvati, lord shiva, lord ganesha and goddess saraswati.

BADRINATH TEMPLES


It is situated along the alaknanda river in the badrinath town of uttarakhand. It is believed that it was built in 9th centuary CE. Here one of the famous legend is said to be occurred at this place that lord Vishnu came to the area called "badri-van" for meditation. It is considered one of the four pilgrimage (char dham) sites. This temple is open only for 6 months in a yea that is from end of april to the beginning of November.

GANGOTRI


The origin of the river ganges is said to be gangotri. The river is called Bhagirathi at its origin and then takes the name ganga from devprayag onwards upto alaknanda. It is also one of the sites of char dham pilgrimage circuit. It is situated in the uttarkashi district of Uttaranchal. It is at a height of 3100m from the sea level which makes it very special.

KEDARNATH


It is also one of the holiest places if hindus dedicated to lord shiva. We can't reach the temple by any means of transport. it has to be reached 14 km uphill on feet fron gaurikund. It is located in kedarnath city. The climate here is very soothing all over the year.

SRI KRANTESHWARA MAHADEV


It is located on a hill top in the champawat city of uttarakhand. It is dedicated to lord kranteshwar. This temple is situated about 6km from the main town and has a height of 6000m above the sea level.

NARASINGHA TEMPLE


The temple is situated in a place known as joshimath in badrinath. Narasingha temple is believed to be the most famous temple amongst all the temples of badrinath. Mainly this temple adds beauty and grace to the state of uttarakhand. It consist of many idols of lord narasingha.

SRI KRANTESHWAR MAHADEV


This beautiful temple is dedicated to lord kranteshwar. It is built in the champawat district of Uttaranchal. It is situated about 6km from the main town and has a height of 6000m above the sea level.

KAILASH NIKETAN TEMPLE


It is a modern temple dedicated to all the gods and goddesses. It is located in a special place opposite to lakshman jhula in rishikesh district of uttarakhand. It is strongly believed that god answers everyone's prayers who comes here.

KEDARNATH


Kedarnath is one of the 12 jyotirlingas of lord shiva and is also one of the holy places of Uttaranchal. It is more than 1000 years old. It is situated at an height of3580m from the sea level. Badri kedar festival in the month of june is the main attraction of this place. This festival goes on for eight days. People from different places visit kedarnath temple during this festival.

JWALAJI TEMPLE


This temple is dedicated to goddess durga. This is located in the masoorie city of uttarakhand. Its height is almost 2184mt from the sea level .It is situated on the top of benog hill and consist of beautiful idols of mata durga in it.

RUDRANATH


Rudranath temple is built in chamoli district of uttarakhand state. It is the 4th temple in the series of holy panch kedar. it is dedicated to lord shiva. To reach this temple a lot of trekking is required as it lies on the top of a mountain and there is no way of transport. It is the toughest one to reach in comparison to other temples of panch kedar.
