The Maharashtra Fire Services Academy, Govt. of Maharashtra, invites applications for admissions to the Sub Officer and Fire Prevention Officer's Course-Level-I.

Duration of the course: 52 weeks. It is a residential program, with the timings being from 06.30 hrs to 17.30hrs daily from Monday to Friday for both theory as well as practicals. 85% attendance is compulsory to qualify for appearing in the final examination.

Scope: You can become a Fire Officer in various government, industrial and private business units such as:

  • You must be a citizen of India and domicile of Maharashtra.
  • Age criterion: (a) For Open Candidates: up to 25 years (as on 1st January 2012 ); (b) For SC/ST/NT/VJNT/SBC/OBC candidates: not more than 30 years (as on 1st January 2012)
  • Educational Qualifications: You must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum overall 50% marks. For SC/ST/NT/VJNT/SBC/OBC candidates it should be ovverall 45% marks.

    1. You must fill the application form online in English.

    2. Take a print-out of the application form on A4 size paper on one side only.

    3. You must submit the application form along with the requisite application fee in the form of Demand Draft (DD) drawn from a Nationalized Bank in favour of 'MKCL', payable at Pune. The application along with undertaking & the demand draft must sent by ordinary post, courier and must reach on or before date 29th Feb 2012 to: Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited, MS-IHMCT Campus, Ground Floor,412-C Shivaji Nagar, Pune 411016, Maharashtra, India.

    (a) For candidates belonging to the General category:Rs 1000/-
    (b) For candidates belonging to the reservation category (SC/ST/ VJ/VJNT/SBC/OBC):Rs 700/-

    Total course fees


    (a)For external candidate Rs. 72,800/-
    (b)Tuition and Library fees: per week – Rs. 700/-
    (c)Accommodation, electricity and water charges per week: Rs. 700/-

    Note: Once the fee is paid, it will not be refunded under any circumstance. If you discontinue the course at any stage, you will forfeit your registration & admission and the fee already remitted.
