Introduction of Eachanari Vinayagar temple


Eachanari Vinayagar temple is one of an ancient temples in Coimbatore city. The temple in situated at Pollachi main road in Eachanari temple.Lord Vinayagar is the residing God of Eachanari temple.It is also one of the oldest temple in Coimbatore in the year 1500 AD. The temple lays 13kms away from Coimbatore.The Idol of Lord Vinayagar is 6 feet tall with 3 feet breadth in the temple.

Background of Eachanari temple


Lord Vinayaga is the most formost God in the religion of Hindu.Actually in Perur "Patteshwarar temple",the Moolavar of Lord Vinayaga was came from Madurai.But in certain problem,the Moolavar stayed in Eachanari itself.So this place is called as "Eachanari Vinayagar" temple.From that day,Lord Vinayaga temple became the Famous pilgrim centre in Coimbatore district.

The Kumbhabisegham of this temple was performed on June 3rd,1977. The kumbhabisegham was performed by Sri Jayendra Saraswathy Swamikal. Then after again Kumbhabisegham done in the year 1990.Now recently the temple proposed to perform "Swarna Pandhana Maha Kumbhabisegam" in the year 2004.

Importance of Eachanari Temple


This temple is one of the famous temple of whole Tamilnadu. By worshiping Lord Vinayaga,Our problems and promises are fulfilled and succeed in any Proposal relating to "Pavangal" and to seek his blessings by prayed him.In this temple even different caste like poor and rich people,whomever worship to seek the blessing of Lord Vinayaga. Whenever the new vehicle purchased people from other religion also come and performed pooja before it is taken on road.

Moolavar of the temple is of big size and placed in such a way,he can be prayed from all side.By travelling also,we can be able to see the six feet Vinayagar on the road.

Special feature of Eachanari Temple


The special pooja for the Idol is done at 6.30am and at 6.30pm everyday.Special Poojas are done during Kiruthikai,Amavasya,Pournami and Chaturthi.Everyday "Ganapathy Homam" regularly performed each day. Everyday Nakshatra abishegams and alankarams is performed from Aswini to Revathy 27 Nakshatras. Devotees offer Abishegams and Alankarams every day. This is the special feature of this temple.
