The land's ends of India or the confluence of three beautiful seas, the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea, leaves an indelible impression. The place gets its name from the Virgin Deity. The sun rises over the Bay of Bengal and sets on the Arabian Sea. On full moon evening, sunset and moon rise can be seen at the same time. Thousands of tourists assemble on the tip of the sea shore to see this splendor view of the nature. Other than the Kanyakumari Beach, there are many beautiful places to visit here.

Kanyakumari is famous for the temple of Parashakti popularly called Kanyakumari Amman Temple. The location of the place is lovely and charming. Since time immemorial the place has been considered as a scared spot. A bath in the congregation of the three seas is considered very holy. The sands on the beach appear multi-coloured with rare shades of shining sand particles. Roman Catholics are in majority here and their church is one of the oldest and biggest churches in India.

Kumari Amman Temple: This temple is a popular place of worship in Kanyakumari, dedicated to Devi Parvathi

Konerishwarar Temple: Kanyakumari Konerishwarar Temple is dedicated to lord Shiva and Ganesh. This temple was built beautifully by Rajendra Chola.

Gandhi Memorial Kanyakumari: The urn of Mahathma Gandhi is here and the architecture of this memorial is unique. The rays of the sun fall on the urn on every second of October.

Thiruvalluvar Statue: This is a giant statue, the height is 133 feet. The opening ceremony of this statue was inaugurated on 01/01/ 2000.

Vivekananda Rock Memorial: This memorial was built on the 200metres twin rock. This is an important place to visit in Kanyakumari.
The other places to visit in Kanyakumari Tamilnadu are St. Mary's Church, Guganathaswamy temple, vetta Kottai Forts, Suchindram, Thiuvattur, pechiparai and peruchni Dams.
