Ingredients to make Kids special recipe Almond Carrot Kheer

Milk- 1 litre
Almonds- 35 nos
Carrot- 1 big
Sugar- 10-12 tsps
Cardamom powdered-1/2 tsp
Saffron strands- Optional

Procedure for making Tamilnadu dessert recipe Almond Carrot Kheer

  1. Soak almonds in hot water for about 30 minutes
  2. Now peel the skin of almonds and grind this to a smooth paste.
  3. Peel the carrot and steam cook. Then grind this in a mixie or a blender to a smooth paste.
  4. Now add both the pastes in little amount of milk, stir well until it gets mixed.
  5. Now add the whole milk and then add sugar and cook in a low flame for 5 minutes till the kheer gets thickened.
  6. Now add cardamom and saffron and store in a refrigerator.
  7. Serve this chilled Almond carrot kheer to your little ones and enjoy.
