Azhagar kovil is a temple for Lord Vishnu situated in Madurai. Kalazhagar Vaigai Artril Irangudal festival is on April 25 this year (2013). On this day, Lord Kalazhagar (or Vishnu) enters into the Vaigai river. There are two important descriptions explaining this. Lord Kalazhagar arrives from azhagar malai to the vaigai river to grant moksha to this devotee. Another reason why the Lord enters into the river is the lord arrives late for the marriage of his sister Goddess Meenakshi with Lord Sundareshwarar.
