Tamilnadu Jackfruit and Drumstick Combo curry is one of my favorite dishes made by my mom at home. The combination of jackfruit and drumstick gives an additional taste which will be loved by everyone. Since jackfruit is a seasonal one you can also try potatoes, brinjals, etc. This is a simply delicious side dish for Sambhar, rasam and curd rice. Try this you will definitely love this.

Ingredients for making Jackfruit and Drumstick Curry Recipe


Jackfruit Seeds-10 nos
Drumstick,chopped-1
Onion-3 nos
Tomato- 4 nos
Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
Coconut-1 cup
Fennel seeds-1/2 tsp
Chilli powder-1/2 tsp
Corainder powder-2 tsps
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
Oil as required
Salt to taste

Method for making Jackfruit and Drumstick Curry Recipe


1.Wash the jackfruit seeds with water then put this along with the chopped drumsticks in a pressure cooker and cook till you get a whistle..

2.Grind the coconut, 1 onion finely chopped, tomato and all other masala powders into a smooth paste.

3.Heat a kadai with oil splutter the mustard seeds, add curry leaves followed by the remaining chopped onions, ginger garlic paste and tomatoes.

4.Saute well and close the tava till the raw smell disappears.

5.Now add the cooked drumstick and jackfruit from pressure cooker, add the required amount of salt and the ground paste sauté well.

6. Close the kadai and cook in a medium flame till it is finely roasted.

Now the yummy Jackfruit and Drumstick Curry Recipe is ready.
