Taki is considered as a famous tourist spot for all age groups. It is situated on the banks of River Ichhamoti. It is situated 73km northeast of Kolkata, in North 24 Parganas, bordering Bangladesh. It is also a famous picnic spot.

How to reach Taki, West Bengal


It can be easily reached both by rail or car. You can drive your own car or can also hire a car to Taki. By road it will take about an hour.
You can also go by train. You can get local train Hasnabad train that is passing by the Taki railway station from Sealdah Station in Kolkata. After getting down in Taki station, you can take a cycle van and reach the hotels.
You can also take a bus from Esplanade to reach there.

There are some Guesthouses or Bunglows just near to Ichhamoti river. Some are Taki Guest House, Taki Tourish Bunglow and Suhasini Guest House. But it is always advisable to go there after doing the bookings from Kolkata.

Ichhamati River is the main attraction of this spot. An imaginary line through the middle of the river separates here the West Bengal from Bangladesh. So with a view of Bangladesh on other side of the river, surely one would feel nostalgic.

Sometimes you will find boats from both the countries on the river holding their respective flags. This scene is truly amazing.
