The Kolkata coffee house location is right at the heart of the city, in college street. The supreme location inside the college square has always driven the mass in the shop and has helped it to be renowned throughout West Bengal.

The best way to get to coffee house in my opinion is take the metro subway and get off at Mahatma Gandhi Road metro station. From there it's a 5 minutes walk to the college street, hence the coffee house. However if you want to take another route other than the metro then I shall advise you get on any bus which comes to college street or Shealdaha from your locality and get off at College street crossing. You can always hire a cab or drive yourself anyways but beware coffee house does not have a parking space and you won't get a parking spot anywhere near the area as it is a heavy traffic zone and sides of streets are covered with book shops.

Kolkata coffee house today

The coffee house is a very old establishment. It has significant impact on Bengal's culture which has resulted in many stories, poems, songs and documentaries have been made or composed around it as the theme. The Kolkata coffee house history has been great and it still carries on with the legacy. Even today coffee house stands with head held high, offering premium service at a low cost and always encouraging young as well as experienced minds to discuss and improve with it's well acknowledged history and it's continuous service to Bengal. Even if it's only a coffee shop, the way the people have acknowledged this landmark tells us how deep the idea of the coffee house has affected bengali minds and it has surpassed bricks and stones into an ideal, a perception to the minds of Bengal.
