Mother Teresa is commonly known for her Serving the poor and destitute person. Really she was the God,s gift to the humanity and to the nation. She dedicated her life to serve the poor people and destitute. Actually Mother Teresa was born as an Albanian. But later she had got the nationality of India. She became the mother not for India but for the poor people of the world. Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata is founded by a Roman Catholic nun. Mother Teresa was working as a nun in this Charity. Mother Teresa has given her life for helping the poor, helping the people affected by some natural calamities and the people who were unwanted by the society. Her love, humanity and helping nature was make her to achieve the Noble Peace Prize laureate.

Mother Teresa 2The original name or the childhood name of Mother Teresa was Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu who was belongs to Albanian. But her love and affection made her as a citizen of India. She was born in the year August 26, 1910 in Skopje of Macedonia. Her father was a merchant and she was his youngest daughter. Then she thought to spread the love of Christ so at the age of 18 she joined the Sisters of Loreto which was an Irish community of nuns. Then after some months her training was completed and She came to India. Then she taught geography at the St. Mary's High School of Kolkata. But when she saw the poverty and the poor people of Kolkata her mind was changed and she left the school and worked for the poor people in the slums of Kolkata. Then she started an open air school for homeless children and helped the poor people and the unwanted people of the society. Then she joined the Missionaries of Charity. At that time there are only 12 nun were there. But now there are above 4000 nuns are working. Then she was awarded with many Prizes such as Pope John XXIII Peace Prize in the year 1971, Nehru Prize for Promotion of International Peace & Understanding in the year 1972, Balzan Prize in the year 1978, Nobel Peace Prize in the year 1979 and Bharat Ratna in the year 1980.

On March 13, 1997 Mother Teresa was left us after 9 days of her 87th birthday. But she still in in our heart and soul. Let us pray for her and use her words in work.
