In her early life, at the age of 4 yrs, Shreya Ghoshal started accompanied her mother in the harmonium. In her early life she got her Hindustani Classical Music training in Kota from Maheshchandra Sharma.
As a child she took part in Sa Re Ga Ma contest on Zee TV where Kalyanji was one of the judges. At this contest she won the competition and was awarded Children's special Episode Award. It was after then that little Shreya moved to Mumbai with her parents and took training from Kalyanji for 18 months after which she took training of Classical Music from Mukta Bhide.Singing Career of Shreya Ghosal
She appeared on Sa Re Ga Ma Adults contest during his college days. Famous Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was very much attracted by her singing voice and style and gives her a break in his next movie Devdas. In the Devdas movie Shreya sang five songs and all of them became instant super hit. From then onwards she never have to look back. She sang or rather singing for various great music composers like Anu Malik, Himesh Reshammiya, Shankasr Eshaan Ly, Pritam, and A.R. Reheman etc.
Some of the famous movies where she sang and the song become instant hit are Jab We Met, Jism, Guru, Parineeta, Blue, I Hate Love Stories, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Singh is King, 3 Idiots, Omkaa and many more.
