Mete Chorchori-a Delicious Bengali Recipe
Mete Chorchori (Liver Curry) is a very delicious recipe of Bengal. This recipe is very easy to cook and takes very less time. Mete Chorchori goes well with hot rice or chapattis and it’s very tasty to eat. There is much less gravy or rather no gravy in this preparation. Ingredients required for preparing Mete Chorchori
250 gms Mete (Goat Liver)
2 Medium Sized Potatoes
2 Medium Sized Onions
1 tablespoon Ginger Paste
1 tablespoon Garlic Paste
1 dries chilly
1 Bay Leaf
1 tablespoon Turmeric Powder
2 tablespoon Tomato puree
½ tablespoon Garam masala powder

Wash the mete (liver) properly and cut it into fine pieces (mainly 1 inch pieces)
Peel the potatoes and cut the potatoes into 4 cube pieces.
Chop the onions into fine pieces.
Now heat oil in a frying pan.
Add the potatoes to them and fry them till they are golden brown.
Keep them aside.
Now in the same oil, on a medium flame, add the Bay leaf and dry chilly.
When they start to splutter, add the sliced onions and the garlic paste.
Fry them till they turn golden brown.
Now add the turmeric powder, chilli powder, ginger paste and tomato puree and sauté properly.
Now add salt to them and stir continuously for a min.
Now add the liver pieces to them and stir them till the oil continues to separate.
Now add 2 cups of water to them and add the fried potato pieces.
Cover the pan and cook them until the liver is cooked and the gravy is dry.
Sprinkle a spoon of garam masala from top before removing it from heat.
Mix it well.
Serve it hot with rice or chapattis.
