Every year a long festival is organized here during the birthday of Sri Ramakrishna. Jairambati is the birth place of Sri Sarada Devi, wife of Sri Ramakrishna. A temple of Sri Sarada Devi known as Holy Mother has been built on the very place of her birth. The temple remains open from 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and again from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The place has become now a famous holy destination for the people all over the world. The village has many temples and old houses where Sarada devi has spent many years.
