Dim Posto - Unique Mouth Watering Recipe
Dim Posto or Egg cooked in Poppy Seeds is one of the delicious recipes and is a very unique one also. It takes very less time to cook but adds a different taste to your mouth. 50 gms Posto
2 Medium sized Potatoes
1 large Size Onion (nicely chopped)
1 tablespoon Turmeric Powder
½ tablespoon Red Chilli Powder
2 Green Chillies
½ tablespoon Mustard Oil
Salt according to taste
Method of Preparation of Dim Posto
Soak the posto in warm water for 1 hr.
In the mean time hard-boil the eggs and after cooling it peel off the skin from eggs.
Now grind the posto into fine paste with 2 green chillies and keep it aside.
One can also use mixer to make a paste.
Now cut the potatoes into 4 cubes like pieces.
Next heat oil in a frying pan.
Fry the potato pieces till they turn light brown and keep them aside.
One can cut the eggs into two halves.
Then fry the boiled eggs till they turn light brown and keep them aside.
Now in a different frying pan heat fresh oil.
Add the chopped onions and fry them till they turn light brown.
Now add the posto paste, turmeric powder, and red chilli powder and fry them for 1-2 mins properly.
Sprinkle some water if necessary.
Next add the potatoes and fry for another 3 mins.
Now add 2 cups of water and salt and mix them properly.
Now add the fried eggs very carefully.
Cover the frying pan and cook for about 10 mins.
This recipe should be less gravy.
Put ½ tablespoon of mustard oil from top for better taste.
Remove from flame and serve on a nice flat dish very carefully.
Serve it hot with rice or chapattis.
