The prayer meeting is going to held at Gandhi Ghat of Barrackpore. The Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal Shri M.K. Narayanan will arrive at the main spot at Gandhi Ghat where the meeting is going to held at 8.30 A.M. on 15th August 2011 and will receive the Minister-in-Charge. The presentation of the heart touching Patriotic Songs at 8.50 A.M. At 9.00A.M the Ramdhun is sung. The the prayer meeting will start.

At 10.35 A.M. the Hon'ble Chief Secretary will arrive and will receive the Special Seceretary in charge. The Flag hoist by the Hon'ble Chief Minister at 10.30 A.M. All the chiefs will offer floral tribute at the feet of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose statue and after that many programmes are organized near Red Road at 11.15 A.M.64th Independence day Celebration in west Bengal

The Governor of West Bengal will offer floral tribute at the feet of Mahatma Gandhi statue at 11.28 A.M at Mayo Road.

After this programmes will finish a drawing competition will organize at the Kolkata Information Centre at 2.00 P.M.

At 5.00 P.M the Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal will give awards and respects to the famous personalities of West Bengal including the freedom fighters of West Bengal at Raj Bhavan.

At 6.00 P.M. the Chief Secretary of West Bengal will give awards and prizes to the winners of Drawing Competition and best photographers on Banglar Mukh. The the photos of the best photographers will shown on a exhibition and the exhibition will open at 2 P.M to 8 P.M. till 21st August 2011.
