In Semi intensive method of Poultry Farming the birds are kept during day time in open land, protected by wire nets and are transferred to sheds in the night.

Intensive method of Poultry Farming


The birds are kept confined and protected in shed or houses during day time and night in Intensive method of Poultry Farming.

Deep litter system of Poultry Farming


Here birds are kept in properly ventilated sheds or houses. The cemented wall of the shed extends up to 3 feet in height beyond which wire netting put in frames is used. This gives lot of ventilation to the shed and also protection. Asbestos sheets or tiles are used for roofing purpose.

Individual cage system of Poultry Farming


In this system the birds are kept in individual cages, which are arranged in rows on metal frames. Each cage has wire netting on all sides. Feeding utensils containing poultry feed and water are kept in front of the cage.

The cages are kept in a single row or in several tiers. The eggs are collected in front in the container after being laid without any damage.
