Veg Saucy wrap recipe


Wraps in itself is a one meal and a healthy starter that you can have either in your breakfast, lunch or with a hot cup of tea in the evening even you can give this to your children in their lunch box. so here I am sharing an interesting wrap recipe of my own.

Here is a tasty wrap recipe where I am going to tell you, How to make restaurant style wrap easily at home and also how to make cheesy cream sauce as well as tortillas. For making wrap I had simply combined my fresh and crunchy veggies with the home made sauce and stuffed the mixture in the tortillas and cooked it in a pan. Hope you people will love this recipe!

Ingredients

For Tortillas-


  • 2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • water

For White Sauce

  • 1cup cup milk
  • 3 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • salt to taste
  • oil 2 tablespoon

For Filling-

  • 1 cup onion cut in julienne
  • 1 cup of combined bell peppers julienne(red,green and yellow)
  • 1 cup cabbage julienne
  • few lettuce leaves or cabbage leaves1/2 cup corn kernels
  • 1/4 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar
  • 2 green chilli
  • oil 2 tablespoon
  • salt to taste

Method-

  • For making white sauce, take take oil in a non-stick pan and when oil get hot add flour and roast it for 2 minutes on a slow flame, makes sure that the flour doesn't get brown.
  • After 2 minutes slowly add milk into this and mix it well cook for 1 minute and make a lump free sauce, into this add salt as per your taste.
  • For the filling, In an another pan take oil when oil gets smoky add onion and green chilli saute it for a second then add corn kernels, mixed bell peppers saute it for a second and add cabbage.
  • Then add salt as per taste (make sure that we had used salt in sauce also), black pepper, vinegar and the white sauce that we had prepared n turn flame off.
  • For making tortillas, take flour in a bowl in this flour add oil and need a soft chapati like dough and keep this dough for for 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes take the dough and make small balls of equal portion.
  • Now in a flat surface dust some flour take a ball and roll it like a roti.
  • Now in warm pan keep this tortilla and cook this from both the sides using little oil.
  • Now take this tortilla place lettuce leave (or cabbage leave or any salad leave that you have) over this put your filling, wrap it and serve hot with ketchup.
