Liver masala – Recipe

How to make liver masala in easy way?


Liver masala is one of the best side dish for chapathi, parota, biriyani. Liver is a best food for women for their proper Menstrual Cycle. It contains vitamin A. But who have high cholesterol try to avoid having liver, because liver has more cholesterol in it.

Ingredients to make liver masala :


Milk- ½ liter
Liver – ¼ kg
Oil – 3 teaspoon
Ginger garlic past – ½ teaspoon
Chilli power – ½ teaspoon
Coriander power – ½ teaspoon
Turmeric powder - ¼ teaspoon
Garam masala power – ¼ teaspoon
Salt – as needed
Chopped onion – ¼ cup
Chopped coriander leaf - ¼ cup
Lime – ½ teaspoon

Cleaning the Liver :



Clean the liver in water to remove the raw materials from it. Then add milk to the liver after drained the water fully. This process is to remove the bitterness of the liver. Leave the liver in milk for 1 hour minimum. Then remove the liver from the milk. Now you can see the liver changed from its original color to light whitish color.

Making of Liver masala :



After cleaning the liver, add ½ teaspoon of oil, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder and pinch of salt to it. Rinse it well until all the ingredients gets mixed well. Then keep the fry pan on the stove and switch on the flame. After the pan gets heated gently add the mixture directly into the empty pan (no need for adding extra oil, since the mixture is having enough oil).
Fry the mixture until the liver color turns into brown color. Then remove the liver from the pan. Add some oil in the pan and allow it to boil. Then add garam masala and chopped onion in to the pan and fry it by adding needed salt. After the onion turned golden color add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, coconut power (optional) and water to required level for your gravy. Let the mixture to cook in slow flame for minimum 10 minutes. Then add the fried liver into the gravy and let it cook for 2 minutes exactly. If the cooking time exceeds that your liver will become hard. Finally add some garam masala, coriander leaf and lime juice into your gravy and then switch off the flame.

Now the tasty and delicious liver masala is ready to serve your family.
