Bharadwaj is a Tamil film music composer; had composed music for many films in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada though. Bharadwaj is trained in Hindustani, western and carnatic music. He is also a recipient of the Kalaimamani award which is considered to be the most prestigious award that is conferred by the government of Tamil Nadu. It was his passion for music that brought Bharadwaj from his Chartered account field to composing music score for films in the cine industry. The number almost nears 50 for his count in scoring music for films and by rendering him as a successful musician in all south Indian languages. This horrendous music director has composed more than 50 film musical scores in the south Indian film industry and out of which more than half of his compositions had groovy response from the audience.

Early Life and Childhood of Music Director Bharadwaj


Bharadwaj was born in the district of Tamil Nadu in Tirunelveli. His family was a pious Tamil Brahmin family. Later on, the family moved over to Delhi as Bhardwaj's father was a central government employee and had to shift over to Delhi. So it was the capital city that got Bharadwaj finish his school education and got him graduated with a Chartered accountant degree and thereby was success in his career even as an auditor. Bhardwaj had passion for music even since childhood and this passion turned out to be his career and profession in his later years. He learnt and got perfectly trained in Hindustani, carnatic and Western music when he was in Delhi. At the age of 17, Bharadwaj made chances to make himself an ideal singer that he was fortuitously select to sing for programs in All India Radio and Doordarshan. So Bhardwaj was quite well experienced in making clear for he always had an interest in music and songs.
Bharadwaj started his career as an auditor as he got graduated in Chartered accountancy. In the year 1986, Bharadwaj moved over to Chennai with a job in Ashok Leyland and worked with the company for a couple of years. The first debut for Bharadwaj was from the telugu film industry where he gave his first musical influence in the first start. This start made him to get offers from 3 Kannada movies consecutively for this made him to quit his chartered accountant job in Chennai and made composing musical scores for movies in different languages for his musical score made the movies a big hit too with an added feather to his cap. Next in his filmy queue was a Malayalam movie and after composing music for over 19 movies in these languages; Bharadwaj entered into the Tamil film industry in the year 1998. Though it made a long journey for Bhardwaj to enter into the Tamil film industry, it was rather strong enough for him to establish a trade mark for him in the industry in the latter part of his career in Tollywood.
In Tamil, it was the movie Kadhal Mannan starring Ajith Kumar in the lead role wherein the film director was Charan. This movie was a musical hit and thereby his first break made his career a big way through to go in the diligence. Since then Bhardwaj composed for more than 44 films in the tollywood. Another musical hit was “Jay Jay" starring Madhavan, Pooja and Amoha in the lead roles. This was again a movie directed by Charan. So the musical and the film director duo – Bhardwaj & Charan proved always to be a success in the musical way. It was charan and Bharadwaj who started their careers together; it was even the first movie for charan when he worked for Khadal Mannan. So, this made them work for many movies like Amarkalam, Gemini, Paarthen Rasiathen and Jay Jay. All the songs of the 5 movies did well in the market and the duo has established a good rapport over the years.

Some of the songs that Bharadwaj composed turned to be huge hits were “O Podu" which was one rocking song all over the state for the movie Gemini starring Vikram and Kiran in the lead roles of the movi, “Unnai Partha Pinbu Naan" from Khadal Mannan, “ Satham illada thanimaiyay ketean" and “unnodu vaazhada vazhvenna vazhvu" from Amarkalam starring Ajith Kumar and Shalini in lead tasks, “Thozha Thozha" from Pandavar Bhoomi, “Apple Penne" from Roja Kootham was a chart buster pinned up with Sri Kanth and Bhoomika in the lead tasks, Vassol Raja MBBS for Kamal Haasan and Sneha starring for the lead role, Priya Sakhi for Madhavan and Sada, Ayya for Sharath Kumar and Nayathara, Attagasam, onbadu roobai nottu, Pallikoodam, Vallamai Thaarayo, Muni, Manja Velu for Arun Kumar, Tamizh, Raajiyam for Vijaykanth, Kaalatpadai, Anbe Anbe, February 14, Thriuttu Payale, Vattaram and Asal again for Ajith. It was the 50th film for Bhardawaj in his career. Cheran's autograph also made a big hit for Bharadwaj in his career. The song “Satham illada thanimaiyay keten" from Amarkalam is a high geared song that demonstrates his capability over a mix of ragas and the perfect blend to the story showcasing the pains of the pains of the lead actor (Ajith) in the film.
An eclectic amount of music compositions have been rendered by Bhardawaj to most of the south Indian language film industries and have been among the top ranking musician in the state. Above all he was awarded with the “Kalaimamani" award from the state government of Tamil Nadu which portrays his versatility over music which was initially his passion in childhood days.
