Leela mishra became most popular as "Mousi" by playing a role in the blockbuster movie sholey. She played a popular character role in Rajshree production's films like : Nadia ke paar & Geet Gata Chal, Saudagar, Dulhan wahi jo piya man bhaye, Dosti. Leela Mishra also acted in raj khosla's "Do raaste" Basu chetterji's "Bato bato mein".Leela Mishra also played a role in the first Bhojpuri film, " Ganga maiya tohe piyri chadhaibo" in 1962. In the last of her life , Leela mishra was played some comic role as mother or aunt of hero. Leeala mishra was died of heart attack in the Mumbai in 17 January, 1988 as 80 years old women.
