Biography and History of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan


This famous actress of Bollywood was born on 1st of November 1973. She is not only a successful Bollywood actress but also a former Miss World. AishwaryaBefore, getting into the world of Bollywood, Rai was a model who achieved popularity after becoming Miss World in the year 1994. Aiswarya has acted in nearly forty movies of different languages. She also received Padma Shree Award from the Government of India. She got popular after achieving Miss World. She also won many Awards for her fantastic work in acting career. She later married to Abhishek Bachchan and became the Daughter-in-law of famous actor Amitabh Bachchan. She even worked in some after her marriage. She is proud to be in the family of Bachchans.

Aishwarya was born in Mangalore from where she lived her early days of her life. Her father's name is Krishnaraj and mother is Brindya Rai. She also has a brother who is elder than Aish and working as an engineer in Merchant navy. His brother also made a Bollywood film. During her olden days she studied in Arya Vidya High School in Santa Cruz. She also completed her course of architect at Raheja College. Then she changed her mind and decided to evolved herself in modeling and started modeling career at 9th grade in Camelin Industries. After getting the crown of Miss World, she got very famous and started getting film proposals from Indian film proposal. She is also a person know several languages such as Hindi, English, Marthi and Tamil. She also knows her mother tongue Tulu. She started her acting career with Mani Ratnam's film Iruvar and her last film in which she worked was Guzaarish.

Bollywood career of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan


Aishwarya started her career of acting from Tamil film of Mani Ratnam i.e. Iruvar in 1997 along with Mohanlal. This film was a hit and won several awards. Then she sarted her Bollywood career with the film Aur Pyar Ho Gaya in opposite role of Bobby Deol. This film didn't worked in the box-office. After this films she dis another tamil movie Jeans which released in the year 1998. The film was a commercial success.

Her next film in Bollywood was Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in which she acted the opposite role with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan. This film became her first hit in Bollywood box-office. She also won Filmfare Award for Best Actress for this film. Then she worked in Subhash Ghai's film Taal where she played a role of young villager. This film did very well in abroad and got into the list of top 20 on Variety's box-office. Her acting in this film brought her into the year's Filmfare Best actress award nomination.

In the year 2000, she was seen in Mansoor Khan film Josh along with Shahrukh Khan and Chandrachur. It was a bit successful. After that, she also worked in Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai in an opposite role of Anil Kapoor. She got Best Actress Award nomination for this. Then she was also seen in Mohabbatein. In this film she worked with Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan. This was the second-highest grossing film of the year.

In 2002, she did another hit film Devdas with Shahrukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit. This film was a super duper hit and earned 390 million INR. Aishwarya RaiThis film won ten filmfare awards and Ash got her Second Filmfare Best Actress Award. In 2003, she did her first Bengali Film Chokher Bali. The same year she also appeared in two Bollywood Films Dil Ka Rishta and Kuch Na Kaho. But both of the films were not done well in the box-office. In 2004 and 2005, she worked in some Bollywood films which were not done much well and most of them were failure.

In 2006, Ash worked in an Urdu film Umroa Jaan which did not worked well and again was a failure. Her next appearance was in Yash Raj Films Dhoom 2. In this film she worked with Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and Bipasha Basu. This film became a blockbuster hit and earned 770 million INR domestically. Her performance in Dhoom 2 earned another Filmfare Best Actress Award. She was also seen in Mani Ratnam's Guru playing an opposite role of Abhishek Bachchan husband of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. This film Worked well in the box-office. The film was based on the life of Dhirubhai Ambani. She got her seventh Filmfare Award for Best Actress.

In 2008, Rai was seen in Jodha Akbar along with Hrithik Roshan. This film was based on the life of Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar. She played the role of Jodha in this film. In this film also, she received another Best actress award from Filmfare. Her next film was Sarkar Raj which released in 2008. In this film she worked with her husband and father-in-law. Mani Ratnam's Raavan film was not done much in the box-office. The tamil version of this film was Raavanan and was a success.

In 2010, she was seen in a Tamil film Enthiran with Rajinikanth. This film was a major success. Later, the hindi version of this film was also made which was named Robot. She also appeared in Action Replay with Akshay Kumar and Guzaarish with Hrithik in the same year. Aishwariya Rai has also received Padma Shri award for a graet contribution in Bollywood cinema. She was even choosen or Female Star of the Decade at Tenth International Indian Film Acedamy Awards which was held in Macau.
