Kratos' Heir- Part 1

Greetings, readers. I'm back here to talk about another great thing that jolted me in grade 5. I immediately hunted all books that had any evidence of it, and read my heart out- Greek mythology.

Myths orally passed down, of great warriors and bloodbaths, of shadowy monsters and of the great feats, the philosophy and all surrounding. It was an alien, ancient, discreet and advanced world of its own, hidden away from destruction.

Since this is too huge to write in one post, I'm breaking it into two segments- hence the part 1. This part is about Kratos, a fictional character in the popular PSP video game, God Of War. It circles around how Kratos, as a mere mortal, journeys to earning the title of a god. At the start, he lives with his two brothers as a military status. When they were training outside, Athena and Ares with an army of centaurs, raided his town in search of the Marked Warrior. Ares, seeing his brother's birthmark as a sign of the Warrior, kidnapped him. In rage, Kratos attacked the god to save his brother, only for Ares to punch Kratos back in to a stack of logs, damaging him with a scar just on top of his right eye. Ares, furious with the young boy's guts, he almost killed him, if not stopped by Athena. They left and in memory of his brother, he tattooed himself exactly like his brother.

He soon had a wife and child, but she was the victim of a plague and a series of riots, so she was to die but fortunately escaped. Sooner or later, he was under Ares' spell to be the premium and perfect warrior, so his quest was to slaughter. After losing his wife and child, he was driven mad with the grief.

In his brother's, wife's and daughter's name, he swore to take revenge on Ares. He plunged into the earth and all beyond it to avenge the wrong done to him. He slayed gods without mercy. And did he emerge victorious? Did he ascend? Well, you just have to wait and find out.

This is a superb video game, with 1080p clarity, and very real-life graphics and different languages. Not to mention the weapons and gifts by gods, grisly monsters, uncrackable riddles and ways to reveal things. Sometimes, you might encounter a god, mortal or monster that will speak to you. I am not a devoted gamer, but this is a mere VIDEO GAME. I think such a lot of features, a well planned out script and millions of fans deserves a movie or novel! That's why, I've decided to share my incomplete, unchaptered novel of mine.

After finding out about Greek mythology, I have never looked at monsters under my bed in the same way. And I don't think anyone will.

This is a good thread that should have be posted in the resource section because of its historical undertone and importance to life.
