Puri is situated over a distance of 62kms away from state capital. It is with one of the most beautiful beaches of the world on the eastern coast of Bay of Bengal that attracts millions of tourists annually. Sri Sudarshan Pattnayak is a reputed artist of this sand art, who had awarded with various prestigious awards internationally. The sand art of Sudarshan Pattnayak and his students is also considered as an attraction to the golden beach of Puri.
Konark which is situated at a distance of 65km from state capital and 40km from Puri on the marine drive which is famous for the Sun temple as well as the Nabhagraha temple, Archaeological museum and Golden beach of Chandrabhaga. It is popularly known as Arka Kshetra.
