TET Assam 2012-2013 to be conducted for secondary education in Assam state has been issued by the state government. This TET exam is also known as the Teachers Eligibility Test. TET Assam exam 2013 eligibility criteria and vacancy details

For the upcoming TET graduate teacher exam(secondary education) in Assam, the details are given below. Remember that this educational qualifications are prescribed as per the Assam Secondary Education service rules 2012.

Hindi teachers: 50% marks in BA with Hindi as one subject or in Pravin/Ratna(Hindi) and B.Ed/B.T

Classical teacher(Assamese/Manipuri language): 50% marks in BA with honours/major in concerned subject and B.Ed/B.T degree

Classical teacher(Sanskrit): 50% marks in BA with Sanskrit as one of the subject or Sashtri having degree qualification and B.Ed/B.T degree

Classical teacher(Persian/Arabic/Urdu): MM with 50 % marks in degree or 50 % marks in BA with Arabic as one subject and BT/B.Ed degree from any recognized university

Graduate teacher: Candidates with 50% marks in BSc/BA/BCom with BT/B.Ed as degree are only eligible to apply in this category

No: of vacancies: Approximately 4500 vacancies are available which needs to be filled thorugh TET exam 2013.
Age limit: The upper age limit for TET Assam exam 2013 as on 1 January 2012 is 38 years.
Minimum qualifying marks for TET Assam exam 2013: 60%, but there might be a relaxation by 5% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD(PH).

TET 2013 is a mandatory qualifying examination for those who wish to appear in an graduate teacher recruitment in the corresponding state. For this, the candidates have to appear in a written test where the minimum qualifying marks is about 60%.

TET 2013 examination consists of 2 parts, each carrying 100 marks and equal number of multiple choice questions.
