Chamba is situated in the western Himalayas in Himachal Pradesh. Chamba is situated on thee bank of the Ravi river. Chamba was founded by Raja Sahil Varman in the beginning of 10 century. According to Kalhan's Rajtarangani the old name of Chamba was Champa. Chamba is spread across 6528 square kilometers area and the population of Chamba is 4.60 lakh.

Manimaheshis a very famous place of not only Himachal but it is a very famous place of India. There is a sacred lake in Manimahesh. It is the major thirth place of Himachal Pradesh. The lake is situated at a hieght of 13500 feet. It is 92 kilometers from Chamba.

It is 65 kilometers away from Chamba. It is the land of Gaddies. In part it was called Brahmpur. It is 27 kilometers away from Manimahesh.
