GPC

Geographical Location-

This college is situated at Rohru tehsil of Distt. Shimla of Himachal Pradesh. Rohru is 110 km away from the Shimla. With River pabbar flowing beside the college and Apple orchards all around it enjoys the best geographical location.
College is situated 1 km away from the Rohru at Rohru-Rampur road. As the college is situated at a peaceful area it provides best environment for study.

Admission procedure and intake capacity-

Admission to the B.pharma course is made on the basis of entrance exam conducted by Himachal Pradesh technical University every year.
Intake capacity of the college is 40 for taking admission in first year. For lateral entry it provides 4 seats per year for D. Pharma students who seek admission in the second year of B. Pharma. Admission for the lateral entry is made on the basis of percentage of students in D. Pharma.
Fee of the course is also nominal which is approximately Rs. 40000 per year.

Every year on an average 10-15 year qualify GPAT( Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) and take admission in M.Pharma in the leading colleges and Universities of India.
Placement record of the college is also very good with most of the passout students doing job in the leading MNCs like Cipla, Ranbaxy, Glenmark etc.
One more special feature of the college is that there is no tution fee for girl and SC students encouraging them for higher studies.

Although college is achieving new heights of success every year but the only drawback comes in front of the college is the inability to provide boys hostel for male students. Boys have to make their own arrangement for accomodation but there are good availabilty of rented rooms in Rohru so there is no such serious problem for accomodation for them.
